When parents separate or divorce with children, there are years of decisions that must be carefully made which will have a significant impact on children’s emotional and mental health and how they carry forth as adolescents or young adults.
At Collaborative Mediation Law, our team of child-development experts and family practitioners can help by providing you with a child voice report for Arbitration, Litigation Court Orders or Collaborative Law.
Finding ways to include your child's opinions and feelings should be part of the decision making process during the mediation process which is referred to as the ‘Voice of the Child’.
The Child’s Voice can help re-orient personal agendas and prioritize the needs & well-being of the children. Listening to your child's views, opinions and feelings will help shape your co-parenting plan and reduce any frustration or conflict you’re currently dealing with your ex-partner.
A Child Voice report can be used as a supportive document in court order matters and arbitration against one parent’s claim over the other and assist in cases of mobility (a move), as well as assist in resolving parenting disagreements regarding time sharing, parenting styles, decision making and other parenting issues.
Our Fees Structure:
Parents are required to provide consent for their children to have a voice through a number of services: Parenting Co-ordination, Voice of the Child Report, Child-Inclusive Mediation. Children have a voice but not a choice; In arbitration the Arbitrator would make the final decision after hearing all perspectives, or if in court, the judge will make the final decision.
Collaborative Mediation Law team will navigate your family in a delicate manner where the children feel heard and respected. Our child-development experts are able to support you in all the age group recognized and needed by court order. The voice of the child report is recommended for children pre-adolescent to teen years (7 to 18 years).
